Patron/ Pashew

Introduction
  • AI: Glyphosate 200g/L + 20g/L 2-4-D
  • Description: Non-selective systemic herbicide for the control of annual and perennial grasses and broadleaved weeds and sprouted trees in non-cropped areas.
  • Dosage: 150ml-200ml per 15L knapsack
  • PHI:
  1. Do not use Pashew/Patron for weed control in cassava. The 2-4D will kill the cassava plant
  2. For contact with eyes, immediately hold eyelids open and flush with plenty of water for at least 5 minutes. Get medical attention.
  3. If inhaled, remove individual to fresh air. If he/she is not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably mouth-to-mouth. Get medical attention.
  4. If swallowed, this product will cause gastrointestinal tract irritation. Immediately dilute by swallowing water or milk. Get medial attention. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
  1. Ensure to use a well functioning sprayer
  2. Use clean water, free of debris (sieve appropriately)
  3. Fix and use 2.4m diameter nozzle (Flood).
  4. Double-rinse the knapsack sprayer and lance by pumping out clean water.
  5. Half fill the tank with water and measure the appropriate dosage into the knapsack. Add sticker if rainfall is expected within 6 hours.
  6. Fill the sprayer tank with water to 15L and mix the solution by pumping and spraying into the tank, while stirring.
  7. Ensure there is no leakage before mounting the knapsack sprayer.
  8. Pump out spray solution whilst maintaining normal pressure for a fine spray mist.
  9. Direct spray mist to the target grass at 1.2m – 1.8m spray diameter, depending on wind direction, release pressure, and applicator’s speed.
  10. Maintain normal walking speed whilst observing spray mist-weed contact to ensure required/adequate solution volume is delivered onto the target weed.
  11. Avoid “swinging” of spray nozzle on target grass, to ensure uniform dispensation of spray solution to target grass for uniform result observation.
  12. During spraying in fields with sprouted cut trees, ensure enough coverage of the tree leaves with the chemical.
  13. To kill stamps of trees, cut the tree and smear the undiluted chemical on the cut surface to be absorbed.
  14. To kill trees without cutting, create 3-4 wounds on the back of the tree and smear or pour 5-10ml of the undiluted chemical into the cuts made to be absorbed.
  15. For product trials, always rinse the sprayer tank before the next dosage.
